CCMENA support Riyadh Hospital with digital dictation system

Riyadh Hospital is one of the leading hospitals in Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1991, the JCI accredited hospital is considered as a medical integrated facility of the highest class – delivering a variety of services at the following volumes per month.

  • 400 – 500 operations
  • 200 – 300 birth deliveries
  • 3,000 – 5,000 sonograms and x-ray tests
  • 24,000 – 34,000 laboratory tests
  • 25,000 – 30,000 outpatient prescriptions
  • 1,500 – 2,000 inpatient reports

The hospital was looking update their dictation system, as the current system presented various inefficiencies – resulting in staff creating documents manually.

Riyadh Hospital approached Converged Communications MENA (CCMENA) some time back, and underwent several discussions around solutions for the hospitals requirements and future plans. CCMENA have worked closely with Winscribe for years, giving them extensive knowledge around workflow managements and proposed Winscribe Digital Diction as the best solution for the hospital’s needs.

After rolling out the Winscribe Digital Dictation solution, doctors found dramatic improvements in their documentation workflow. The new system permits all medical personnel to have visibility and know the status of jobs waiting to be transcribed – allowing for more reports to be created and faster turnaround times in getting back to patients.

Mahmoud Harb, IT Director at Riyadh Hospital comments:

"At the end of the project we are very much grateful for CCMENA for their help, support, flexibility and guidance. Our medical staff are turning around documents faster, and our patients are receiving better care. This is a great improvement to our workflow, and we are happy with our investment."

Ashraf Abdulkarim, Managing Director at CCMENA says:

"We spent a lot of time with all the concerned parties at the hospital to ensure that they were getting a system that would meet their needs. It is a pleasure working with Joseph DiCarlo, who understands how we work in this region helping us to customise components in the Winscribe solution to further support the hospital."

Joe DiCarlo, Channel Relationship Manager at Winscribe made the following comment:

"Improving processes is a key focus at Winscribe, and it’s a real pleasure helping our partners to support clients in doing so – no matter where in the world they’re located. CCMENA have been a key partner of Winscribe for years, they are switched on so supporting them comes easy."
